The Genius of Adam Lambert through Whataya Want from Me

=================================================

Has there ever been another performer who was so incredibly creative as well as talented as Adam Lambert?

 I don’t think so!

Please share this with your family and friends even if they are not yet Adam fans…  Can’t argue with the facts!

Here are some of my favorite performances of Whataya Want from Me.

The Official Video ( Album Version of WWFM)

I hadn’t watched this video in a while and it took my breath away.   I love this version of WWFM because of Adam’s beautiful voice and the depth of emotion he gives the song.  Adam does all the backup vocals here  and they are beautiful. My very favorite part is from 3:00 minutes on where his incredible voice shines through.  Always seem to be listening for the “dow..ow..ow..own”   and for that ascending “What do you want from me?”  Gorgeous!

The View

So You Think You Can Dance

This performance of WWFM was the first one on Live TV after the AMA’s.  Remember how excited we were after this great performance… Adam Lambert trended worldwide on twitter!  Adam changed up a few things in this song to keep us on our toes.  He begins the song slowly and breathy as he stares at us barely moving.  ‘Nowwwww”(:48)  and “meeeee” Im a freak (1:37)…. “owwwwt” (2:02)  and “please, please dont give in” (2:05)  This was our first introduction to the ongoing Tommy interactions which have become such a fun part of the show.  And, my favorite part of this song is the singing and dancing at the end  starting around 3:08… wish it went longer!

Stripped at iHeart Radio

Australia Sunrise Performance

The unbelievable hungover acoustic version of  the song!  Tears in his half opened eyes..  Definitely channelling a headache!

Netherlands… Paul De Leeuw (starts around 2:18)

  1. I think my 2 Favorites were AI because of the way he started it & the Vortex & Lasers, it was beautifully done. And Australia Sunrise was perfectly done unplugged it really truely touched me, but then again everything Adam does goes straight to my Heart always. ♥♥♥

  6. Of course the original! But my later version is the acoustic from Berlin! He and Monte slowed it down and his voice is pure velvet-soft and sensual, like silk on bare skin…and we all get it on the EP! I hope the Grammy voters hear this version as well as the original-who could resist that voice! GAH! glamgran58

  7. These are all fabulous versions of this song, but to hear ALL THE POWER AND BEAUTY of Adam’s voice, listen to the one he sang 6 years during the Zodiac performance where he met Monte…”My Change is Gonna Come” was sung when he was very, very angry and disappointed at his treatment by the industry about his choice of lifestyle and choice of makeup and clothing. He’ll NEVER sound so magnificant as here!!!
    What power, what beauty! If he could sing everything with this PASSION, he’d rule the music world tomorrow! I love, love, love him and this song in particular!!

  8. Change is Gonna Come is my favorite performance for sure… It is an incredible demonstration of Adam’s Genius. I put this one together to demonstrate his creativity and his beautiful voice… still don’t know how Adam continually changes it up so beautifully. Cannot think of another artist who has ever done anything like this!
