Vote for Adam

Does anyone else have doubts about the legitimacy of all these voting places?  I would prefer if there was a counter on each where we could see the actual numbers.  I do not trust most of them…. Just looking for your thoughts…

Guess it has gotten a lot worse for me since Anita didn’t win the meet and greet tickets for Upper Darby.   The lady who won had a really nice write up she had included.

Anita had also written something but it wasn’t posted by the site for some reason.  I just have to believe that the radio station chose the person they wanted to win and did not go by the number of votes.  I totally understand… but I feel bad for asking all of you vote.

I would question the radio station on this but considering I wasnt entered, I don’t see that they would want to talk to me.   What do you think?

I want to do whatever I can for Adam but I think that these places should provide much more information on the numbers, etc!

Vote Often: VH1 –    (#1 second week in a row!)

Lindajean139: Vh1 challenged gaga fans this morning to take Adam ou…

Who Do you want Adam to Collaborate with?  (Voted for David Bowie!)

Vote Once a day: TCA –

Z100 –

 Q102 –

 MTV Asia

 Much Music Ur 11:

Much More Top 10:   (#1 again yesterday!)

VOTE/RATE/We are on a roll!  Keep up the great job!

Lambert’s showiness doesn’t disappoint Wichita fans

Adam Lambert, like many successful “American Idol” alums, draws a diverse audience to his shows, and Friday’s sold-out crowd of 2,000 at the Cotillion was one of them.

Tweens, teens and 20-somethings crowded shoulder-to-shoulder on the packed Cotillion floor with moms and dads propping small children on their shoulders and young gay couples holding hands. Middle-aged couples and senior citizens well into their 80s stationed themselves at the tables circling the floors. KAKE-Channel 10 anchor and self-professed “Glambert” Susan Peters stood on a chair with her camera, trying to get a better look at the singer.

Lambert, 28, the second-place finisher but arguably most popular constant from “American Idol’s” eighth season, put on a synthesized, glittery, sexually charged show that appeared to please the fans he attracted.

Lambert, known for his glam stage presence, costume changes, soaring high notes and stylized pop, performed most of the songs from his debut album, “For Your Entertainment,” including radio hits “Whataya Want From Me” and “If I Had You,” plus a couple of covers he personalized when he appeared on “Idol.”

The set included several costume changes, each one accented with top hats, long coats, fur collars or dramatic feathers. His signature heavy black eye makeup and all-over body glitter was visible even from the back of the venue, and his floppy-on-one-side hairstyle was one of his best accessories.

The show, part pop concert, part music theater, was colorful, modern and never dull. Lambert made the most of the Cotillion’s small stage, crowding on a full band, a set of stairs and four backup dancers, who gyrated in sync with their glamorous leader as a laser show projected colorful spears of light above the crowd.

Highlights of the show were Lambert’s upbeat rock/pop songs, including “Fever,” during which Lambert showed off his dance skills, and an end-of-the-show performance of his single “If I Had You,” which was energetic, fun and showy.

His full voice and range was showcased during a performance of his single “Soaked,” an orchestral ballad that ended a slowed-down portion of the show that also included an acoustic version of “Whataya Want From Me.”

His Middle-Eastern-influenced rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” was another highlight. You almost wouldn’t recognize the song if not for the lyrics, and for the fact that Lambert performed his version during his “Idol” run. And the crowd loved his encore cover of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World.”

‘American Idol’: Adam Lambert talks past insecurities, finding confidence

Adam: still battling his demons.
Adam: still battling his demons.

Adam Lambert may be one of the most popular superstars in the country right now, but it wasn’t always that way. As a matter of fact, the “American Idol” singer used to battle the same insecurities that many of us were forced into dealing with at an early age.

In a new interview with MTV, Adam explains:

“Growing up I wasn’t very confident. It wasn’t until in my early 20s that I evolved into who I really was and wanted to be.”

“I always used to look at being different as a bad thing, but I’ve learned that you need to take pride in the fact that you are unique.

“I was an ugly duckling, I was overweight and at 12 I realized I was gay. I kept that a secret until I was 18, so dealing with that and not feeling attractive was hard.

“The main validation I got was from being a performer, because it made me feel good about myself.”

For much of his career to this point, much of Adam’s goal as an artist has been making sure his fans feel a higher level of confidence and self-worth than even he felt about himself at one point during his adolescence. His fan base literally comes from all walks of life, with literally people of varying age groups and ethnicities standing behind one artist.

  3. Thank you so much Cameron. I am not upset about not winning because I do believe it will happen when its meant to. But I do not like it when things are unfair… and it really gives me reason to wonder about these voting sites.

  4. FYI. It looks like Peoria Illinois is missing from the Tour Dates list. Sunday, Sept 05, 2010 at the Peoria Civic Center. And don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll get another chance to meet Adam. I believe that if something is meant to happen, it will. And, good things happen to good people – the power of Karma. So be good and stay positive! 😉

  5. Awww, sorry that you and your friend weren’t chosen for the meet and greet. Note I said “chosen”–does the word demographic say anything to you? Your friend wasn’t late teens to early twenties was she? One can’t blame the radio stations, they do have obligations to their Ad. clients……’s a tough, competitive business these days.

Your Glamily will always be supportive of you–we owe you so much for all the effort and creative hours that you put in every day to enhance our everyday! Don’t despair, maybe the next time he comes to Canada you’ll be in the right place at the right time, eh? 🙂

  7. Gloria, sorry you didn’t win the M&G – if anyone deserved to win, it was you. But, have patience & perserverance – your time will come soon, I’m sure of it!

To all of the protestors that wished to make a statement this past Friday – the only statement you actually made was to show how narrow – minded, prejudiced and reactionary you are, not to mention uneducated, ignorant, and unevolved as human beings. Thank God for a special, warm, wonderful, & intelligent man & human being named Adam Lambert, who unfortunately has been placed in the dubious postion of being the pioneer who needs to evolve the rest of the human race – not an enviable position, but one that he will excel in; Adam has already altered the minds of many as he has become so beloved and respected by us all; Adam truly is an example to us all of what we should all aspire to be in our lives.
